Retrieval of personal effects or learning tools
Our schools and centres remain closed, in accordance with Public Health directives. At this time, it is not possible to visit any of our schools or centres to retrieve personal belongings or devices. We will advise you when it is safe to do so.
Parents and students, you are valued members of our community! Our school teams are arranging to stay in regular contact with you and your child(ren). You can expect to be contacted on a weekly basis by someone from your school to see how you and your child are doing during the shutdown.
Activities for your child
Beginning April 6th, each week you will receive a packet of suggested activities that you may want to do with your child. Please remember these are not required activities; they are offered to you to help your child stay interested and engaged in learning. We recognize that every family’s reality is different and that learning at home is not the same as learning at school. While there is no expectation of direct instruction or evaluation by teachers, your child’s school will keep in contact with you during the shutdown.
The Lester B. Pearson School Board has created some resources and materials for you. Make it a habit to visit these websites often as they are regularly updated by our professionals.
The Ministry of Education is also updating its webpage regularly so check that out as well: https://ecoleouverte.ca/en/
The health of our community is our number one priority. Please remember to stay safe and stay positive.
